Beyond the Dance Consulting Services is a Christ centered creative arts resource service that specializes in inspirational hip hop and contemporary dance. We provide instructional classes administered by trained dance consultants, enrichment programs and workshops. We also offer dance staffing solutions. Our full cycle recruitment service specializes in finding dance professionals with the skills, experience, and personality to take your organization to the next level. We educate our clients by providing solid dance education and concepts that will perfect their craft. We equip our participants with life skills infused with biblical principles and character development. Our audiences embrace their dreams as we inspire them to “Go beyond the limits, beyond the fears and beyond the unknown”.

Statement of Faith

• We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God(II Timothy 3:15-17, II Peter 1:21). • We believe there is only one God, everlastingly existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, John 10:30). •We believe in the divinity of Christ (John 10:33); His virgin birth (Isaiah 7:14, Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:34-35); His sinless life (Hebrews 4:15, 7:26); His miracles (John 2:11); His vicarious and atoning death (I Corinthians 15:3, Ephesians 1:7, Hebrews 2:9); His resurrection (John 11:25, I Corinthians 15:4); His ascension to the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19); His personal return to earth in power and glory (Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:11-16). • We believe in the complete requisite of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the exceeding sinfulness of the human nature, and that all are warranted on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ, and that only by God's grace through faith alone are we saved (John 3:16-19; 5:24, Romans 3:23; 5:8-9, Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 3:5). • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, and those who are not unto the resurrection of damnation (John 5:28-29). • We believe in the spiritual accord of the believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 8:9, I Corinthians 12:12-13, Galatians 3:26-28). • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by Whose ingraining in Christians enables us to live a godly life (Romans 8:13-14, I Corinthians 3:16, 6:19-20, Ephesians 4:30; 5:18). • We believe that we as Christians are examples of the love of God in this world. It is this absolute love that we desire to possess and without which we have no right to call ourselves Christians (I John 4:16-17). • We believe it is the obligation of the whole Church to go into the whole world and to preach the Gospel to every living creature. (Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20)

Aysha Bowling Founder, President & Senior Dance Consultant

Dance is an expression of freedom. When I dance there are no limitations, no rules, no worry and no fear. When I dance I sing with my body in a language that all can understand. -Aysha Bowling.Aysha Bowling is a hip hop dance instructor and founder of Beyond the Dance Consulting Services with over 10 years of dance and choreography experience. Originally from Richmond, VA, she was introduced to dance at the age of 10 by her mother who worked as a lyrical dancer and choreographer. Aysha started her training by taking ballet lessons and by age 11, she was coordinating dancers and instructing moves for weekly talent shows during summer camp. At this age, Aysha also recalls incorporating moves from Janet Jackson's Pleasure Principle video into her own. It may have been a humble beginning but it was only the start of what would come.As a junior, Aysha enrolled in the Henrico High School Center for the Arts Dance Program and was immersed into modern dance, jazz, tap, Latin jazz, African, hip hop, and dance theatre. She also furthered her training in ballet. In 1999, she graduated from the program and went on to further her knowledge of the craft. Aysha interned with the Latin Ballet of Virginia and expanded her range through the programs such as Dance Masters, The Jessica Morgan School of Dance, and the Arts Triumphant Dance Conservatory. Also in 1999 Aysha took on the challenge to create, manage, and provide choreography for 2 dance teams through her church, Faith Landmarks Ministries. In this role, she worked with a youth hip hop team named Chosen Generation and another team that performed hip hop and modern dance for stage plays. Through both teams, her choreography was featured in performances at community events across Richmond, VA, outreach opportunities in Trinidad and Edenton, NC, and performances in front of audiences of over 6,000. Beyond the Dance Consulting Services first emerged in 2003 as Aysha's vision for a leadership program for aspiring dancers, originally called Beyond the Dance Student Devotionals. This four-month bible study series was designed to help dancers discover their purpose through focus scriptures, open discussions, and physical activities to reflect the topics. In 2004, the curriculum was piloted with the Chosen Generation Dance Team and proved to be successful and rewarding for its participants. According to Aysha, the name Beyond the Dance means going beyond your craft, skill or situation to better your future or quality of life. She went on to implement the devotionals 3 more times thereafter.In 2005, Aysha relocated to Charlotte, NC to pursue her dream to expand her devotionals into a mobile hip hop dance consulting service. After providing dance services to several groups in Charlotte, she took the risk and went into business for herself in 2009. Aysha says, "The purpose of the consulting service is to assist organizations and individuals to meet their dance related goals by providing mobile dance resources. . . My heart's desire is to impart inspiration into the very souls of every student, client, and audience. My goal is to inspire humanity to go beyond their limits!"

June 2010BTDCS performance team..."The Remnant Crew" summer tourNext stop, Rhema Covenant Worship Center, June 12th _ 7pm, Charlotte, NC May 2010Beyond the Dance Consulting Services is a proud sponsor of the Lupus Foundation of America, Piedmont Chapter. On May 1st BTDCS participated in the 2010 Walk for Lupus Now event. This was the second sponsorship of the year and it was a success. There were nearly 1,000 walkers and 89 teams raise more than $82,000 to support those affected by Lupus. The event started with a live performance from the BTDCS performance team, also known as The Remnant Crew. After the performance Aysha Bowling shared a testimonial speech about being a Lupus thriver and overcoming challenges of Lupus through dance. During the walk Aysha was interviewed by two young girls. One of the girls stated "Man you are a really good dancer and when you said you had Lupus I was so surprised. I thought to myself, if she can do it, then I can do anything!" What a great example of imparting inspiration. This was a priceless moment and BTDCS is so grateful to have the opportunity. Thanks to all supporters!
